JUIT Reanimated
8th June 2021
Virtual Treasure Hunt
A treasure hunt event, where the JUIT campus grounds were recreated virtually, playable on PC and mobile. The premise of the event was to look for various clues, where one clue leads to another until you reach the trophy. The game was developed on Roblox Studio, and for scripting/coding, the language Lua was used. The event was a great success and it encouraged the students who have an interest in game development, to join the community and explore more in the respective field of computing machinery.

It was a two-day event organized by the members of the cybersecurity team of ACM. The 36 hours long CTF was about solving the 13 quests with the help of hints and introducing them to the world behind screens. The main aim of the event was to make students juggle up their mind and get an idea about ethical Hacking & cybersecurity.

Choose Your Path Carefully
CodeTrails was a 2-hour long cryptic hunt and coding event which was hosted on ACM JUIT’s online platform. There were 3 trails leading to the end of the contest. Each Trail was a set of 10 questions out of which 7 questions were designed to test the participants’ logic and the skill of accurate guessing and 3 questions were based on coding skills. After each question, the participants encountered a choice to either switch paths or move forward on the same path. The goal was to reach the end of the hunt in the fastest time possible. It was the amalgamation of coding skills, knowledge, and luck that determined the result of this cryptic hunt.

13th June 2021A month-long journey through the world of open source development
A month-long journey through the world of open source development. During the month of June, the participants worked on a single project in a team of 4-5 members, making contributions to the GitHub repository, having brainstorming sessions, implementing new ideas, and moreover, learning in the process. 15+ projects were developed from scratch during the event. The projects were from different domains such as Front4-End, Back-End, Android Apps, Data Science, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Game Development, and much more.

The best and greatest hackathon of the year 2021.
Horizon is a weekend-long event where JUITians will come together in teams of 3-5 members to work on software and/or hardware projects. ACM-JUIT has always been one of the pioneers when it comes to promoting technical creativity. Participants will be building, learning, and creating technology projects from scratch.
